Coming together

Here are some pics of my staircase that was completed this week.
I figure it's time to start posting some good ones.
These guys did a phenomenal job. They got this done in 3 days and late hours. I can't thank them enough for the great job they've done so far.

Now I'm being harrassed....

Service Magic SUCKS A BIG FRIGGEN ROTTEN EGG!!!!

Don't use them... I'm one email away from putting in a BBB complaint about them.

I've been working with Harry at contractor relations for 5 months now trying to settle our complaint and take advantage of their 500.00 guarantee. It's a joke. Their job is to jerk you around until you get tired of having to deal with them. Today I got an email from Holly (contents below) informing me that Harry has moved on and she's now handling our case. Somehow when she added up the numbers they came out all screwy

It doesn't leak. Rejoice... it's the first thing that actually was done right! Our copper pan, installed by the previous incompetent plumbers ( Crombie Plumbing) actually doesn't leak. That means I don't have to pay for another pan to be installed. Yeah.. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the plumbing work.

Double the pleasure

I'm seeing doubles these day. We've had to frame the stairs twice, lay the flooring twice, demo the bath twice and do a bit of the electrical and plumbing twice. Double the fun, Double the pleasure and Double the cost.

My new contractor "Marvin" has some interesting comments about our old contractor. Things like "This guys a turkey", "this is where the nightmare meets begins" and other little jewels.

It's time for me to start posting some good pics to turn this blog around... to a kinder and gentler renovation ;)
